Dirk Radloff Multi-instrumentalist Gordon Midgley offers here a wide range of guitar-based compositions. If you are a fan of the edgy progressive Rock of early King Crimson (Think on the "Red"-album) you must listen to "The darkness of error", very Frippesk, but there are also peaceful shimmering guitar-arpeggios ("Last letter") free-floating ambient-textures ("Old good days") and all is created with the guitar, just the opening track ("Preemptive retaliation") features a synth-line with heavy drums. Favorite track: The Darkness Of Error.

thePiecan Great EP from the GordMeister! Sonic venture from Uber dark Skull crushing caterpillar-tracked machines to the lightness in singing pods of Humpback whales, swirling and dancing to GM's acoustic delights. Give heed to the warnings within, yet embrace the hope of despair! Favorite track: It Only Happens To Other People.

Lee Lucas Yet another solid piece of work by GM and it just gets better and better with everything this fine multi talented musician crafts out these days. If anything his latest EP The Darkness Off Error is certainly more guitar based than his previous works and it has more of an exciting harder edge about some of the tracks including its title track. It also has some atmospheric & melodic beauties on the 26 minutes you get over the 7 super tracks here. It certainly floats and rocks my boat 100%. Get it

about

Welcome to The Darkness of Error, an EP which see-saws between composition and spontaneous improvisation.

I could say there's a grand concept behind it all, but there isn't - at least, not in the sense of this being a through-composed cycle.

The underlying musical moods result from reminiscence and reverie over the past few months and the tracks try to find different ways of representing recurring feelings - if that's a concept then so be it.
